this morning when i turned on my pc and went on firefox i had to sign in the account, and when i did that all my bookmarks had a strange immage ,like the immage i uploaded below, and my settings where wrong,now when go on youtube or any other web site i can't see my bookmarks, i tryed looking in the settings but i didn't find how to fix my problem.

I created a firefox profile from another, so I start with the same saved passwords and bookmarks which is nice.

Now I want to sync this new profile with the sync service of the mozilla account.

First, I tried to use the same mozilla account I was using for the original profile (which would be ideal), but I get an error saying: This account is already in use.

OK, so I thought, instead, I could use an alternative mozilla account to sync this new copied profile, but, when I try to register/login with another account I get this other error:

This profile was previously synced with a different account.

To keep your data organized and secure, each Firefox profile can only be synced with one account. To log in using ***@***, you must create a new profile.

Isn't there anyway to sync this new profile to a mozilla account? What's the whole point of copying profiles if you, after, cannot sync it? :/

My search history is clogged with repetitions of the same search. For example I log onto my bank account and the search history shows 15 plus or minus entries. It also happens with other sites i visit often. I searched the internet about "history" and It was suggested that is check extensions and remove them. Then Just today my bank sign-in icon was gone. Sorry Im not always using the correct terminolgy.

We have been unable to find an explanation of what components of the password file data, like created & modified date, can be included nor any formatting requirements. Is following the format of the Exported CSV password file adequate?

Using the new profile manager, is there a way to launch Firefox using a specific profile?

I like the new Profile manager feature! As I understand it, it is completely separate from the old way of managing profiles with "firefox -p" and about::profiles. One feature of the old system that I really liked was the ability to launch Firefox with a specific profile. I was using this to create separate shortcuts to launch my Personal profile or my Work one. Is this possible with the new profile management system? I know that there is an option to select a default profile - but this is not as useful as that means that the same profile would always be used.

When I copy and paste from Pages on a Mac, to a gmail email I am writing, I lose all the formatting. This doesn't happen when using a Brave browser, so I don't think its a gmail settings issue.

Can you help?

Is there a setting in Firefox that I could use to overcome this issue?

Hi, Since three or four months, whenever I log into Outlook live, either on Mac or Windows PC, I get a security warning saying that the information will not be secure (Please see attachment.) When I log into the same account, from Edge for example, I do not get the warning popup. I really enjoy using Firefox and would love to continue but this case is worrying me a bit. Any idea to help? I've used Firefox for 20 years through the various iterations of Windows, and have been using it trouble free on Windows 11 since November 2024. Two days ago, however, When I tried to open the Guardian site (www.theguardian.com) it would open very slowly and not load and of the pictures. This gradually got worse, the site taking for ever to open at all, and always with the little dot in the tab at the top left going from side to side showing it was still loading. I have tried everything I can think of. Opened in troubleshoot mode, changed DNS settings, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox twice (one time to see if it would work normally if I didn't actually sign in to my account). All to no avail. In fact now things are worse, in that the GOV.Uk website is now giving me similar problems - and a few other sites have become slightly slow and reluctant to open as well. My internet connection seems fine, and all these sites open without any trouble on Microsoft Edge. I am NOT very good at tech, and I am now tearing my heair out as to what I can try next.

Any help wopuld be gratefully received!

Well being an OAP I needed new laptop. Always used Firefox browser but finding it difficult to get restarted. Had to opt out of window s to even download. Apparently I can transmit(?) my existing passwords etc from one laptop to another is this correct? Only basic computer knowledge but trying hard !! Karen x

My Bookmarks were missing and I had an error message so none of the topics you have listed seem appropriate. I found a 2 part fix on the internet (Part 1 - Open your profile folder and part 2 -Create a new data base). The result was removal of the error message and a few Bookmarks becoming available. Question is how to get the remaining Bookmarks?

When trying to enter a full screen mode pressing modkey + f or F11 buttons my screen is cut in the upper part. The resolution of my pc is 1600x900 however my browser, after entering into a full screen mode, turns the resolution in 1600x917 and I do not understand why it automatically assigns this resolution. I have tried turning off the fingerprint option but it did not help. My os is x64 linuxm distro is the arch linux, and I use the awesome window manager. I tried using the Librewolf and I had the same problem when entering the full screen mode. I've set the linux recently so I guess I have no settings that could have potentially be the cause of the problem.

Bookmarks seem to be missing from Firefox. I followed the advice up to part 2. That got rid of the error message but only a few Bookmarks were there. Is there any way I can get the rest of them back?
